Donegal The much-anticipated Armoy Road Races are set to return to County Antrim this summer, with the event scheduled for July 26th and 27th

Drawing world-class riders and thousands of fans each year, this annual spectacle promises exhilarating competition and a vibrant atmosphere.

Launch Event at Bayview Hotel

On Wednesday, June 19th, the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club (AMRRC) held a launch event at the Bayview Hotel in Portballintrae to introduce this year’s sponsors. Trevor Kane, the hotel’s owner and title sponsor of the Race of Legends, hosted the gathering, which included esteemed guests such as Councillor Ciaran McQuillan, Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. Chairman and Clerk of Course, William Munnis, outlined this year’s schedule and expressed gratitude to those who contribute to the event’s success.

Meet the Riders

Attendees had the chance to meet prominent road racers like Dominic Herbertson, Jeremy McWilliams, Ryan Whitehall, and Neil Kernohan. Reflecting on the event, William Munnis remarked on its 15-year journey:

“The Armoy Road Races have grown into a hugely successful event, attracting global riders and fans. This year, we anticipate strong competition, with entries closing on June 24th. We’re thrilled to welcome riders from Germany, France, and beyond.”

Munnis also acknowledged the vital role of sponsors in sustaining the event:

“Our sponsors are indispensable. We also welcome new sponsors AP Louden and John M Paterson Ltd this year.”

This year’s lineup features top riders such as TAS Racing’s Davey Todd, Jamie Coward with KTS, Derek Shiels, Mike Sweeney, and Mike Browne on an Aprilia bike—marking its debut at Armoy.
