Blakestown Farm, located just outside Ardee, has been listed for sale with a price tag of €2.5 million. Described as one of the finest livestock and tillage farms in Co. Louth
This expansive 157.5-acre (63.7-hectare) property is available through joint receivers Kieran Wallace and Andrew O’Leary of Interpath Advisory.
Auctioneer Brian Carroll of Sherry Fitzgerald Carroll highlights the sale as a unique opportunity to acquire a significant tract of land in Co. Louth. “Blakestown Farm is undoubtedly one of the most impressive arable and livestock rearing farms to come to the market in recent times. Its nature and proximity to Ardee town may offer further potential into the future,” he said.
Currently used for grazing and silage production, the farm is renowned for its Blakestown Pedigree Charolais bloodline. The property includes an intensive feedlot and collection yard, making it a top-quality, well-maintained holding. The farm is divided into eight large sections, primarily level or gently sloping south/west, with fertile soil ideal for grazing and tillage production.
