County Louth Weather Alert: Brace for a Rainy Week!

Get ready, Louth! A significant wall of rain is expected to sweep across Ireland later this week, bringing some miserable weather our way.

🔹 Wednesday Night: Rain will start spreading eastwards, becoming heavy at times. Southerly winds will freshen, making it blustery with temperatures dropping to 8°C-12°C.

🔹 Thursday: Expect a wet day with widespread rain, particularly heavy in the west and southwest. The rain will gradually clear northeastwards by afternoon and evening, giving way to scattered showers and a few sunny spells. Temperatures will range from 15°C-18°C, with blustery southerly winds veering westerly and easing as the day progresses.

🔹 Weekend Forecast:

Friday: More rain, heavy showers, and the chance of isolated thunderstorms and hail. Temperatures between 13°C-17°C with light to moderate southwesterly winds, fresh at times.

Saturday: Cloudy with outbreaks of heavy rain in some areas, breezy with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, and temperatures from 12°C-16°C.

Sunday: Unsettled weather continues with frequent rain and showers.

But there’s a silver lining! Warmer weather might make a comeback by mid-June. Long-range forecasts suggest a warm spell from June 19, with temperatures possibly reaching up to 23°C by June 21. Met Eireann indicates a drier week from June 17-23, with more settled conditions and temperatures returning to normal.
