CúChulainn Archers Shine at Slaney Classic 2024 in Enniscorthy
CúChulainn Archers competed in the highly anticipated Slaney Classic 2024, a World Record Status 3D archery competition held over the weekend of August 24th and 25th. The event took place in the picturesque Coolbawn Woods in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, and was hosted by Slaney Archers.
This two-day competition challenged participants with 3D targets, requiring archers to skillfully estimate distances while battling the wild and windy conditions that added an extra layer of difficulty to the event.
The CúChulainn Archers team delivered strong performances, with the following results:
• Gilbert McClelland – Master Men, Compound: Silver Medal
• Hugh Murphy – Master Men, Compound: 4th Place
• Alan Convery – Senior Men, Compound: 4th Place
• Philip Fitzpatrick – Senior Men, Compound: 6th Place
• Ryan Dougan – Senior Men, Barebow: Silver Medal
• Mark Young – Traditional Men: Silver Medal
Despite the challenging weather, the team members were reasonably satisfied with their results and returned home safely, bringing pride to CúChulainn Archers and the community.
