Darkness Into Light Ardee Walk Not Going Ahead for 2025

Ardee News and Sport Darkness Into Light Ardee Walk Not Going Ahead for 2025

It has emerged that the Darkness Into Light Ardee walk will not be taking place this year on Saturday, 10th May, leaving many locals disappointed by the absence of this much-loved and meaningful event.

While events in neighbouring towns Drogheda, Dundalk, and Dunleer are now open for registration on the official Darkness Into Light website, there is no mention of an Ardee walk either on the website or on the Darkness Into Light Ardee Facebook page – which has not been updated since November 28, 2024.

The Ardee Post reached out via message to the Ardee event’s Facebook page to seek clarity but, as of the time of writing, we have yet to receive a response.

It’s a disappointing development for a town the size of Ardee, which has proudly hosted its own walk for many years, bringing the community together to support suicide and self-harm prevention services in Ireland.

Those wishing to take part in the event this year can still register for Drogheda, Dundalk, or Dunleer at the official Darkness Into Light website: https://www.darknessintolight.ie/

If anyone has information on transport options for non-drivers who wish to attend these nearby walks, please get in touch. We would be more than happy to share the details with our readers and help keep the Ardee spirit of support alive.
