The stunning grounds of Drewstown House in County Meath played host to the White Wolf Archers UAF 3D IFAF Round last Sunday, where CúChulainn Archers delivered an impressive display of talent and precision.

Drewstown House Triumphs

CúChulainn Archers’ medal haul was led by:

Neil Keeble: Gold in Senior Barebow Men

Peter Gilmore: Gold in Masters Barebow Men

Hugh Murphy: Gold in Compound Masters Men

Mark Young: Gold in Bowhunter Recurve

Lisburn Showdown

The team’s success continued on Saturday at the Archery NI and Open Senior Championships, hosted by Lisburn Archery Club in the Jim Baker Stadium, Templepatrick.

Ryan Dougan claimed Silver in the hotly contested Senior Barebow category, overcoming teammate Neil Keeble in the semi-finals. Neil went on to finish 4th after the Bronze medal match.

Mark Young and Peter Gilmore advanced to the quarterfinals in the Masters Barebow category but were narrowly defeated.

Darrel Wilson secured Bronze in Senior Men Compound.

JoAnn Bell captured Gold in Masters Women Compound, while Paul McClelland brought home Bronze in Masters Men Compound.

International Stage: The JVD Open 2024 in Eindhoven

CúChulainn Archers also shone on the international stage at the prestigious JVD Open 2024, part of the Kings of Archery Series in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Among 1,193 global competitors, 42 Irish archers participated, including Robert Hall and Alan Convery from CúChulainn.

Robert Hall achieved an impressive 20th place in Senior Men Compound.

Alan Convery followed with a strong 43rd-place finish in the same category, a remarkable showing in the event’s largest division.
