Ardee News and Sport – Packed GAA Weekend Ahead with Live Coverage and Championship Clashes Across the Provinces
There’s a feast of GAA action lined up this weekend, with fans spoiled for choice across football, hurling, camogie, and ladies football — and plenty of live TV coverage to enjoy.
RTÉ will have their cameras in Omagh on Sunday for the heavyweight Ulster senior football quarter-final between Tyrone and Cavan, live on The Sunday Game. The match will also be shown by BBC Two NI, underlining its status as the weekend’s marquee tie.
Saturday night’s spotlight shifts to Leinster, where GAA+ will stream the intriguing clash between Kildare and Westmeath in Newbridge. Earlier that day, BBC NI will broadcast the meeting of Antrim and Armagh from Corrigan Park in another Ulster quarter-final showdown.
For fans of ladies football, TG4 will be live from Croke Park on Saturday for the Lidl National League Division 1 and 2 finals. Armagh face Kerry in the top-tier decider, while Cork meet Galway in Division 2.
Sunday brings more top-tier action as RTÉ 2 airs the Camogie League Division 1A final between Cork and Galway from Thurles. The same venue also hosts the Division 1B final between Offaly and Derry, also live on RTÉ.
Beyond the senior showdowns, there’s a packed programme of underage and second-tier competition matches throughout the week, from Leinster minor football to Christy Ring, Nickey Rackard, and Lory Meagher Cup hurling.
