The quest to crown the next Miss Louth is officially underway, and excitement is building as Ardee’s own Amy Moynagh prepares to pass on her crown. At just 21 years old, Amy has made a significant impact as the reigning Miss Louth, blending her passions for the arts and teaching in ways that inspire those around her. The quest to crown the next Miss Louth is officially underway, and excitement is building as Ardee’s own Amy Monaghan prepares to pass on her crown.

At just 21 years old, Amy has made a significant impact as the reigning Miss Louth, blending her passions for the arts and teaching in ways that inspire those around her.

Amy, who is currently studying to be a primary school teacher at Maynooth University, has been deeply involved in the world of performance from a young age. Her love for singing, dancing, and acting shines through in both her personal and professional life. She has a notable history, including performances at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, appearances on RTÉ Junior’s “The Beo Show,” and even a feature in a HSE QUIT smoking ad that gained international attention.

Amy’s commitment extends beyond the stage and screen. She actively participates in charity work, having supported causes such as Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, Make A Wish, and Ardee Hospice Homecare. Her Beauty with a Purpose event, which raised funds for the Julian Benson CF Foundation, reflects her dedication to making a meaningful difference in her community.

The Miss Ireland 2024/2025 competition is set to be a grand affair, culminating in a spectacular show on March 29, 2025, where the new Miss Ireland and Mr Ireland will be crowned. This year, the competition will also delve into its rich history, seeking to celebrate the legacy of Miss Ireland through the decades. Organizers are inviting past winners and those with historic photos to share their memories and contribute to the celebration of the competition’s heritage.

Aspiring contestants from each county are encouraged to apply for their chance to represent their region. Full details on how to enter are available on www.miss-ireland.ie or through the Miss Ireland App, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Applications close on August 31, 2024.
