Students in Louth Reminded to Apply for €25,000 Naughton Scholarship Before June Deadline

Secondary school students across County Louth are being reminded to submit their applications for the prestigious Naughton Foundation Scholarship, a €25,000 award that aims to foster and support the study of science, engineering, mathematics, computer science, and technology at third level.
The closing date for the 2025 scholarship applications is Saturday, June 29th, at midnight, and with the deadline fast approaching, eligible students are encouraged not to miss out on what could be a life-changing opportunity.
Each year, one guaranteed scholarship is awarded per participating county, with 36 scholarships available nationally. Students in Louth are strongly encouraged to apply as one scholarship is reserved specifically for the county.
Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is open to Leaving Certificate students in County Louth who are planning to pursue a third-level course in a publicly funded university or institute of technology in Ireland, including Northern Ireland.
To be eligible, applicants must be:
- Currently attending a secondary school in County Louth
- Studying two or more of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering
- Intending to pursue a third-level degree in science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or technology
Each Naughton Scholarship is valued at €25,000, distributed as €6,000 per academic year for the duration of the student’s undergraduate programme. In addition, the secondary school of each successful applicant receives €1,000, reinforcing the foundation’s support for educational communities.
