
Sun shines on Ardee Golf Club for TIGS Captain’s Day event

The skies cleared just in time for a special occasion at Ardee Golf Club, as the Travel Industry Golf Society (TIGS Ireland) held its eagerly anticipated Captain’s Day, hosted by Captain Eileen Penrose.
Despite forecasts of rain, the morning sunshine set the tone for a memorable day on the fairways. Though a few showers passed through in the afternoon, spirits remained high, and the event was marked by both competitive golf and camaraderie among the members.
Ardee Golf Club, renowned for its immaculate greens and challenging course design, proved the perfect setting. Players were full of praise for the condition of the course, which tested skill but provided plenty of enjoyment throughout the competition.
Following the golf, members and guests enjoyed a convivial dinner, with lively conversation and plenty of laughter filling the clubhouse. The evening culminated in the much-anticipated prize-giving ceremony, generously sponsored by Shannon Airport and co-sponsored by Sunway Holidays. TIGS extended warm thanks to both sponsors for their invaluable support in making the day a success.
A magnificent selection of prizes was on offer, rewarding top performances across the categories.
