TG4 Ladies All-Ireland Championships: Semi-Final Lineups Confirmed

The semi-final pairings for the 2024 TG4 All-Ireland Junior and Intermediate championships have been finalised. In the Intermediate grade, Down will face Tyrone, and Leitrim will compete against Wexford on Sunday, July 14. The Junior semi-finals, taking place on the same day, will see Louth taking on Carlow, while Fermanagh will meet Limerick.

Intermediate Championship Highlights:

Down vs. Monaghan: Down secured a narrow three-point victory, with goals from Natasha Ferris and Sarah Dougherty, and crucial free-taking by Niamh King.

Tyrone vs. Clare: Tyrone overcame Clare with a strong second-half performance, highlighted by Chloe McCaffrey and Aoife Horisk’s goals.

Leitrim vs. Roscommon: Leitrim edged out Roscommon in a close contest, with goals from Muireann Devaney, Laura O’Dowd, and Leah Fox.

Wexford vs. Westmeath: Wexford triumphed in an extra-time thriller, with Catríona Murray’s decisive fifth goal securing their semi-final spot.

Junior Championship Highlights:

Louth and Limerick: Both teams advanced from Group B with convincing wins over Longford and Kilkenny.

Fermanagh and Carlow: Previously secured their semi-final spots from Group A.

Additionally, Cavan and Offaly have ensured their participation in the Intermediate Championship for 2025 by winning their relegation qualifiers against Antrim and Wicklow. Antrim and Wicklow will face off in a relegation play-off on July 7, with the loser moving to the Junior ranks next year.
