In a heartbreaking incident on Sunday afternoon, two men lost their lives and two others were hospitalized following a three-vehicle collision involving motorcycles in Meath. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 4:40 pm on the R195 road at Bellaney, Oldcastle.

Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene where two men, both in their 30s, were pronounced dead. One individual was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, while another was admitted with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The R195 road, which connects Oldcastle and Castlepollard, has been closed for a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place as authorities work to piece together the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Gardaí are urgently appealing for witnesses to come forward. A Garda spokesperson stated, “We are currently attending the scene of a fatal three-vehicle road traffic collision involving motorcycles that occurred today at Bellaney, Oldcastle, Meath. We ask any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were traveling on the R195 road between 4 pm and 5 pm to share this footage with investigating Gardaí.”
