Large crowds are expected to descend on Ardee in the coming days as the community gathers to pay respects to the late Patrick Ward, a well-known local man whose passing has deeply saddened the town.

Patrick will repose at Finlay’s Funeral Home, Tierney Street, Ardee (Eircode A92 EY88) on:

Wednesday, 1st January, from 3pm to 7pm

Thursday, 2nd January, from 3pm to 7pm

The family has requested that their home remain strictly private on Friday morning.

Patrick’s removal will take place on Friday, 3rd January, departing from his home at 9:30am on foot to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee, for the Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Following the service, burial will take place at Ballapousta Cemetery.

Significant traffic disruptions are expected in the vicinity of Finlay’s Funeral Home, Tierney Street, and the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, particularly during reposing hours and the funeral procession. Attendees are advised to plan accordingly and allow extra time for travel.
