Excitement is building in Mid-Louth as Ardee Celtic Under-16s gear up for an unforgettable opportunity — representing their club and community at the Barcelona Football Tournament later this year.
To help make the dream a reality, a Coffee Morning Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, 11th October, from 12pm to 3pm at The Dee Hub, Ardee.
The event, proudly supported by SAFE Castlebellingham, promises to be a fun-filled afternoon for all ages, featuring tea, coffee, delicious sweet treats, and a fantastic raffle with an array of prizes donated by generous local sponsors.
Admission is just €10 on the day (cash only), and all proceeds will go towards helping the young players cover travel and accommodation costs as they prepare to take on international teams in Barcelona.
The raffle draw, scheduled for 3pm, includes a superb selection of prizes such as:
- A luxurious Friday night stay at the Galgorm Hotel, kindly sponsored by Clinton Travel
- €100 voucher from HomeValue Ardee
- €70 voucher from The Golden Goose, Ardee
- Plus, many more spot prizes generously donated by local businesses and supporters.
Organisers are encouraging the community to come along, enjoy a relaxing afternoon, and show their support for the next generation of Ardee football talent.
A spokesperson for SAFE Castlebellingham said:
“We’re delighted to support these fantastic young players. It’s a brilliant opportunity for them to represent Ardee abroad, and community events like this really show the strength of local spirit.”
The Ardee Celtic Under-16 squad have been training hard in preparation for the trip, which will see them test their skills against teams from across Europe in what promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime sporting experience.
So, whether you’re a football fan, a proud local, or just fancy a coffee and a chat for a great cause, The Dee Hub is the place to be this Saturday. Every euro raised will help these talented young athletes chase their footballing dreams — and fly the flag for Ardee in Spain.
