A long-serving member of Hunterstown Rovers, Johann Fedigan, has been inducted into the Louth LGFA Hall of Fame, receiving one of the highest honours in Ladies Gaelic Football at the recent Louth LGFA Club All Star Awards.
The induction recognises over three decades of exceptional service, dedication and commitment to the promotion and development of Ladies Football across the county.
Three Decades at the Heart of Louth LGFA
Johann Fedigan’s name has been woven into the fabric of Louth LGFA for more than 30 years. Her journey with the County Board began in 1996, when she joined at just 14 years of age—a remarkable start that would mark the beginning of a lifetime of service.
Few could have predicted that the young Hunterstown Rovers club member would go on to play such a central role in the administration and success of Ladies Football in the county.
Backbone of County Administration
Johann served as Vice Chairperson before taking on the role of Treasurer, a position she held from 2000 to 2025. During that time, she became the backbone of Louth LGFA’s administration.
Her financial expertise, meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment ensured the county’s financial stability and long-term growth. Johann was widely praised for her professionalism, transparency and accountability—qualities that earned her the respect of clubs and officials throughout Louth.
Much of her work was carried out quietly behind the scenes, but its impact has been profound and long-lasting.
