Logan Hoey Clinches Irish Junior Rallycross Championship Title
Logan Hoey , a rising star from Channonrock, has secured the coveted Irish Junior Rallycross Championship title at Mondello Park, driving his Mini to victory last month. This remarkable achievement comes as Logan, who celebrated his 15th birthday just a week before the championship weekend, delivered an unparalleled performance. Demonstrating exceptional skill and determination, Logan dominated the competition, winning all heats, the semi-final, and the final on both days of the joint Irish and British championship meeting.

In addition to his victories, Logan showcased his versatility by competing in a mixed Irish-British junior race on Sunday afternoon. Starting from the back of the grid, he powered through the field to finish an impressive second, outpacing several faster Suzuki cars.
Logan’s journey in motorsport began just last summer when he entered the ICCR Junior Mini Championship. Despite being new to car racing and not participating in the full championship, he finished third overall, claiming one race win. Seeking to further hone his skills, Logan began competing in the Junior Rallycross Championship in November, quickly establishing himself as a formidable competitor.
His outstanding performances have not gone unnoticed. Logan has been nominated for the prestigious Dunlop Sexton Motorsport Ireland Young Driver of the Year Award, making history as the youngest driver ever to receive this honor.
Looking ahead, Logan is set to return to Mondello Park for the start of the ICCR Junior Mini Championship on July 6, once his school exams are complete. While he has secured some essential sponsorship from Cork-based FPS Ltd, Logan continues to seek additional support to ensure he can compete in the full ICCR season.
Logan Hoey’s rapid rise in the world of motorsport marks him as a talent to watch, and his recent triumphs signal a promising future in racing.
