Louth Clash Headlines Live GAA TV This Weekend
Louth’s crucial Division Two showdown with Cavan is among the standout fixtures on live television this weekend as the Allianz National Football League reaches a pivotal stage.
With promotion and relegation battles intensifying, Division Two has become the focal point for broadcasters, with almost every game in the division available to watch live.
High Stakes for Louth in Breffni
Louth travel to Kingspan Breffni on Saturday evening to face Cavan in a game that could shape the remainder of their league campaign.
The clash throws in at 5.15pm and will be shown live on TG4.
After last weekend’s impressive win over Tyrone, Louth carry momentum into the contest. Cavan, meanwhile, revived their survival hopes by defeating Kildare and will view home advantage as critical.
With multiple promotion and relegation permutations still in play, the stakes could hardly be higher.
Tyrone Under Pressure
Tyrone, All-Ireland champions as recently as 2021, find themselves in real danger of missing out on Sam Maguire Cup football this summer.
Their defeat to Louth last weekend has left them scrambling for points. They host Offaly in Dungannon at 6pm on Saturday in a match broadcast live on BBC iPlayer and GAA Plus.
Offaly are co-managed by former Tyrone boss Mickey Harte, adding further intrigue to a game loaded with narrative.
Saturday Night Football & Ladies Action
Later on Saturday, Kildare meet Meath at Cedral St Conleth’s Park at 7pm, live on RTÉ2.
In the Lidl Ladies National Football League Division One, Cork face Waterford at Páirc Uí Rinn at 7.35pm, with TG4 providing live coverage.
Limited Coverage in Division One
While Division Two dominates the screens, Division One football has more limited exposure.
On Sunday:
- Donegal v Galway (Ballyshannon, 1.15pm) – live on TG4
- Roscommon v Dublin (Dr Hyde Park, 2pm) – live on the TG4 App and Player
However, Kerry’s clash with Monaghan in Killarney and Mayo’s meeting with Armagh in Castlebar, both at 1.15pm, will not be shown live.
Hurling Spotlight
There is just one live hurling fixture this weekend.
Kilkenny host league champions Cork in Division 1A of the National Hurling League at UPMC Nowlan Park. Throw-in is at 3.15pm on Sunday, with live coverage on TG4.
