The Shercock Killann Cancer Support Group
The Shercock Killann Cancer Support Group was established in 2008 with the
proceeds of a fundraiser in memory of the late Gerry McCaffrey RIP, and also by
the committee of the Terry Fox Run who had been raising funds for cancer
research for a number of years. The aim of the Support Group was to keep funds
raised locally for the benefit of our Community.
With the generosity of local people, it has blossomed into a service which
endeavours to make life easier and less stressful for patients and their families.
Without the generosity of those far and wide we would not be able to carry out
the work we do. Please get in touch with us if you wish to organise any
fundraisers. We are always delighted to hear from you and no amount big or
small goes unnoticed.
Our group can provide the following :
Other expenses arising from a patient’s diagnosis.
Transport for patients travelling to hospital.
Help to family members providing transport.
