O’Brien Eyes Historic Fourth Win at Bushwhacker Rally in Omagh
Ardee News and Sport — Patrick O’Brien is set to chase a record-equalling fourth consecutive victory at this weekend’s McKelvey Asbestos Bushwhacker Rally in Omagh! Alongside his brother Stephen and driving the Skoda Fabia R5, O’Brien has dominated the Omagh Motor Club showpiece for the past three years, narrowly clinching each win by just seconds.
With his eyes on matching motorsport legends Ronnie McCarney and Robbie McGurk, O’Brien is more determined than ever to make history. Despite a long break, recent success at the Lakeland Stages Rally has reignited his confidence on the gravel.
Catch the action as cars leave Omagh Showgrounds at 9:30am on Saturday, with the first stage kicking off at Killeter Forest at 10:29am. Let’s see if O’Brien can seal the deal once more!
Spectators are kindly reminded that access to the start and finish areas of rally stages will be strictly prohibited. For safety reasons, we ask everyone to make use of the designated spectator areas and to follow all instructions from marshals and event officials. Your cooperation is crucial in ensuring that the event runs safely and smoothly.
The start and finish venues for this year’s Bushwhacker Rally will take place at the popular Agriculture Complex on Gillygooley Road, Omagh, where central servicing and the overnight parc fermé will also be hosted.
