Ardee business J.M.S Custom Designs wins startup award
A local business in Ardee is celebrating a major achievement after J.M.S Custom Designs was named Startup Business of the Year at the Louth Enterprise Awards 2026.
The Ardee-based workshop, which specialises in handmade custom furniture, bespoke cabinetry, kitchens, wardrobes and wall panelling, received the award in recognition of the company’s strong start and growing reputation for quality craftsmanship.
The award is organised by Local Enterprise Office Louth, which supports entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout County Louth.
Speaking after receiving the award, the team behind J.M.S Custom Designs described it as “a very proud day for us and for our workshop in Ardee.”

Local councillor visits Ardee workshop
Special thanks were also extended to Seán Kelly, who visited the workshop earlier this year to film a promotional video as part of the awards final.
According to the team at J.M.S Custom Designs, Councillor Kelly was “great to deal with”, and they praised the work he is doing to highlight and support small businesses across Louth.
