Ardee Audience Delighted by Aclint Drama Group Comedy

The Ardee community was treated to two nights of laughter and entertainment as the Aclint Drama Group returned to the stage with their latest production in mid-Louth.

The group presented “Widows Paradise”, a three-act comedy by Sam Cree, at the Bohemian Centre, and once again won over audiences with a fantastic performance full of humour and energy.

Two nights of laughter in Ardee

Over the two-night run, audiences were kept entertained from start to finish, with plenty of laughs throughout the performance. The talented cast delivered a lively and engaging show that had audiences laughing out loud and thoroughly enjoying the evening.

The production was directed by Paul Kiernan and featured a strong cast including:

  • Hughie O’Neill
  • Catherine Scriven
  • Lorna Kane
  • Eileen Holland
  • Sinead Brennan
  • Peter Phillips
  • Patrick Kerley
  • James Kearney
  • Ceola Brennan
  • Cian Kennedy

They were supported by a dedicated backstage team including Pauline McEvoy, Patrick Callaghan, Mary Kearney and Emma McEvoy.

Supporting important local services

The performances were not only a great success on stage but also helped raise funds for two very important local organisations — Ardee & District Cancer Support CLG and Ardee Hospice Homecare CLG.

These organisations provide vital support and care to individuals and families in the Ardee and mid-Louth area, and events like this play an important role in helping to fund their services.

A group that never fails to entertain

Aclint Drama Group have built a strong reputation over the years for delivering high-quality productions that attract great support from the local community, and this latest show was no exception.

Once again, the group lived up to their reputation and, as many audience members said afterwards, they truly “sent them home laughing.”

The success of the show highlights the strong community spirit in Ardee and the continued support for local arts, drama and community fundraising events.
