A Day to Remember: Ardee Women’s Shed Attends Presidential Garden Party
It was an occasion of great pride and celebration for the local group, who were thrilled to receive the exclusive invitation to the capital. The event, held on the 26th of June, was designed to honor and appreciate the tireless efforts of various community and voluntary groups operating right across Ireland.
Representing Ardee, the Women’s Shed members were treated to a full tour of the historic presidential residence and its impeccably maintained gardens, which provided a stunning backdrop for the afternoon’s festivities.
A Warm Welcome from the President
During the event, President Catherine Connolly delivered an inspiring speech, expressing her deep gratitude for the dedication and hard work of grassroots organizations. What stood out most to the attendees, however, was the President’s personal touch.
