Big Top Fever: Ardee Circus Stay Extended for Bank Holiday Weekend
The circus has officially captured the imagination of Mid-Louth, with organizers announcing an extension of their Ardee stay following a series of sell-out performances.
Originally scheduled for a limited run, the circus—located conveniently across from Ardee Community School—will now remain in town through the Bank Holiday Monday. This marks the first time this particular production has visited Ardee, and the feedback from local families has turned the visit into a highlight of the spring season.
Jaw-Dropping Acts & Stunts
For those who haven’t yet stepped under the Big Top, the show features a mix of traditional circus artistry and modern, death-defying stunts. Highlights include:
- The Ultimate Strongman: Witness unbelievable feats of strength, culminating in a 3-ton American Jeep being driven across the performer’s chest.
- Acrobatic Excellence: Breathtaking hand balancing, contortion, and the thrilling “unbelievable tower of chairs.”
- High-Flying Drama: Daring trapeze acts and the precision-based Rola Bola performance.
- Family Magic: Clowning and interactive magic designed for all ages.
Extended Show Schedule
To accommodate the surge in interest, three additional showtimes have been added for the upcoming weekend:
- Saturday, 2nd May: 5:00 PM
- Sunday, 3rd May: 3:00 PM
- Monday, 4th May: 2:00 PM (Bank Holiday)
Ticket Information
The onsite ticket office, located at the Big Top entrance across from the Community School, will open 30 minutes prior to each performance. Due to the high demand experienced during the initial run, early arrival is highly recommended to secure the best seats.
