Green Fingers Wanted: Ardee Tidy Towns Issues Call for Local Volunteers
Ardee Tidy Towns is looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to play a part in keeping our local community looking its absolute best throughout the summer months.
The committee is seeking volunteers to assist with a variety of essential tasks that enhance the town’s appearance and biodiversity. From maintaining vibrant flower beds and green areas to painting public fixtures and ensuring our streets remain litter-free, there is a role for everyone regardless of experience.
📅 Meeting Times (Every Thursday)
To accommodate as many people as possible, the group meets twice every Thursday:
- Morning Session: 10:30 AM
- Evening Session: 7:00 PM
Whether you can commit to a regular slot or just help out occasionally, your contribution will be greatly valued by the team.
Protecting Our Heritage
This call for volunteers comes at a time when preserving Ardee’s local character is more important than ever. With the recent approval of heritage-led developments like the Dunleer Railway conversion and the ongoing efforts of the Dee Hub Walking Group, Ardee continues to showcase a “great talent” for community resilience and pride.
Working with the Tidy Towns is more than just maintenance; it is about protecting the environment for future generations and ensuring that Ardee remains a welcoming place for residents and visitors alike. It is also a fantastic way to improve mental and physical wellbeing by staying active and meeting new people in the district.
