Gertie Brennan (née Dyas)
Drogheda, Co. Louth
Gertie Brennan (née Dyas), of Pearse Park and formerly of Duleek Gate, Drogheda, passed away peacefully at Moorehall Lodge on May 12th, 2026, at the age of 86. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.
Predeceased by her husband Frank, son Frankie, and grandson Billy, Gertie was the beloved mother of Patricia, Gina, and Ruth. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her daughters, her grandchildren Kelly, Lee, Dean, Aaron, Eric, and Nikki, her great-grandchildren, and her extended circle of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
Funeral Details:
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, on Wednesday, May 13th, from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
The family kindly requests that those attending the funeral home show consideration for local residents when parking.

Johnny (John) Hickey
Dundalk, Co. Louth
Johnny (John) Hickey, of Drive 1, Muirhevnamore, Dundalk, passed away peacefully on May 11th, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was under the exceptional care of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, at the time of his passing.
The devoted husband of Olive (née Curran), Johnny was predeceased by his mother Alice and daughter-in-law Sandra. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his wife, his children Declan, Sharon, Linda, and Amanda, his cherished grandchildren Mark and Leah, and his sister Lillian. He is also survived by his son-in-law Ollie, Declan’s partner Dzana, his uncle Willie, and an extended circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, neighbours, and many friends. A dedicated community man with a passion for sport, he will be remembered by many for his camaraderie and the motto, “Once a Clan, Always a Clan.”

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday, May 13th, from 3pm until 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 10:30am, walking to the Church of the Holy Family for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
House private at all other times. Family flowers only; donations, if desired, to the Drogheda Oncology Unit.
