Mark Bruton, of Dundalk and formerly of Weirhope, Drogheda, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2026, in the loving care of the staff at An Sólásán, Dundalk, following a long illness bravely borne.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Joan, Mark will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his brothers Jim and Stephen, his sister Siobhán, sister-in-law Sinéad, his aunts, uncles, his nieces and nephews Molly, John, Seán, and Katie, as well as his extended family, relatives, and many friends across Weirhope and Marsh Road.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at F. Watson & Son Funeral Directors, Dyer Street, Drogheda, on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon at 2pm in St. Mary’s Church, James Street, Drogheda, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed live via the parish webcam.

Norman Estridge, of Highlands, Drogheda, Co. Meath and formerly of Mornington, Co. Meath, passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 70.

Norman will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his sisters Bertha and Sarah, his brothers Kenneth, Ivan, John, Bernard, and Paul, his brother-in-law Declan, his nieces Bridgett and Rachel, his nephew John, as well as his extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda, on Thursday evening, May 28th, from 5pm until 7pm. A private cremation ceremony will take place the following day, Friday, May 29th, at Dardistown Crematorium, Dublin.

James Joseph (Joe) Meehan, of Cappogue, Dunleer, passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the Palliative Care Team at the Louth County Hospital, Dundalk.

Predeceased by his parents James Joseph (Joe) and Kathleen, and his sisters Mary and Geraldine, Joe will be sadly missed by his daughter Orla, sons Colin, Barry, and Stephen and their mother Sheila, and also by his children Amy, Haidan, Cillian, and Jack and their mother Michelle and her daughter Chloe. He is also fondly remembered by his brother Michael, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer, on Wednesday evening from 4pm until 8pm. Removal will take place on Thursday morning, proceeding to St. Finian’s Church, Dromin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, in lieu to the Palliative Care Team at the Louth County Hospital, Dundalk.

Samantha Roddy, of 23 Blackridge, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan and formerly of Tallanstown, Co. Louth, passed away on May 25th, 2026, at Cavan General Hospital.

Samantha will be deeply regretted and fondly remembered by her loving sons Sean, Callum, and Hugh, her mother Marion, her father Noel, her stepfather Collie, brothers Paul, Brian, and Noel, sisters Denise, Louise, and Lorraine, her good friend Gina, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
