John Edward Murphy, of Ballyfaddock, Termonfeckin, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Jim and Briege, John will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his heartbroken wife Mary and his adored son Karl.

He is also deeply mourned by his brother Jim, sister Margaret, aunt Teresa, cousins, his much-loved dog Robin, and a wide circle of friends throughout the farming community.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at his home on Thursday, June 4th, and Friday, June 5th, from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, June 6th, at 11:00am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Termonfeckin, which can be viewed live online via the parish webcam. Cremation will take place afterward in Dardistown Crematorium, Dublin, at 1:30pm.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, can be made to Brain Tumour Ireland. The family residence is private outside of specified reposing times and strictly private on Saturday morning.

Dominic (Dom) Tiernan, of Millrace, Duleek, Co. Meath and formerly of Sunnyside, Drogheda, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital following an illness.

Predeceased by his first wife Bridget, and his brothers and sister, Dom will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Mary, and his daughters Bridget and Aoife.

He is also deeply mourned by his son-in-law Shane, Aoife’s partner John, his cherished granddaughters Abbie and Holly, his brother Gerard, his sister Anita, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing on Thursday, June 4th, at Gerrard’s Church, Mary’s Street, Drogheda, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.

Removal will take place on Friday morning, June 5th, at 10:30am, proceeding to St. Cianan’s Church, Duleek, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. Burial will take place afterward in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Chris O’Brien, of The Belfry, Duleek, Co. Meath and formerly of Rathmullen Park, Drogheda, Co. Louth, passed away unexpectedly on May 31st, 2026.

Predeceased by his infant brother Joseph, Chris was the beloved husband to Sarah and the adored dad to Anthony. He will be very sadly missed and forever remembered by his heartbroken wife, son, and Anthony’s partner Michaela and her daughter Ella.

He is also deeply mourned by his parents Jack and Margaret; his brothers John, Stephen, Darren, Paul, Paddy, and Brendan; his sisters Sarah Jane and Jacqueline; his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, a large circle of friends, and his beloved Husky dog, Skye.

Mary Clarke (née Murray), of Marian Park, Drogheda and formerly of Duleek Gate and Duleek Street, Drogheda, passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Tommy, her parents Patrick and Kathleen, her sisters Eileen, Kitty, and Betty, and her brother John, Mary will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving children Martin, Maurice, Thomas, and Elizabeth.

She is also deeply mourned by her cherished grandsons Ruairi, Shane, and Cathal; her great-granddaughter Emily; her sister Monica; her brother Paddy; and her extended family, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Details:
In accordance with Mary’s wishes, a private cremation service will take place.

Predeceased by his parents Mary and Anthony and his brother Oliver, Kevin will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his daughter Hannah, his son Dylan, and his cherished grandson Alfie.

Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda, on Wednesday evening, June 3rd, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Thursday, June 4th, at 12 noon, followed by a Cremation Service in Glasnevin Crematorium. The Mass can be viewed live online via the St. Peter’s parish webcam.

Predeceased by her father William (Bill) and her sister Alice, Shirley will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her husband Michael, and her children Melissa, Michael, Tracey, Brendan, and Paul. She is also deeply mourned by her mother Margaret, daughters-in-law Amanda and Carla, son-in-law Anthony, and her brother Jim and sisters Margaret, Susan, and Samantha.

Shirley leaves behind a legacy of love through her cherished grandchildren Alannah, Paul, Jackie, Darcie, Zach, Freya, Jake, AJ, and Scott, as well as her great-granddaughter Cassie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, and many dear friends.

Reposing at her home (A91 W6A2) from 2:00pm on both Wednesday, June 3rd, and Thursday, June 4th.

Removal will take place on Friday morning, June 5th, proceeding to the Church of the Holy Redeemer, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11:00am, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Baby Cían McHale, in his second year, of Ballylahan, Straide, Foxford, Co. Mayo, passed away unexpectedly at his residence.

Cián will be dearly and forever missed by his heartbroken parents Noel and Emma McHale (née Kells), and his brothers Fionn and Oisín.

He is also deeply loved and treasured by his grandparents Paddy and Marian McHale (Pollagh, Straide), Mick and Marie Kells (Drogheda and Spain); his aunts Tara, Michelle, and Carmel; his uncles Barry, David, Adam, and Robert, along with their spouses and partners, his cousins, neighbours, and a wide circle of family friends.

Funeral Details:
Cían will rest in repose at Straide Community Centre (F26 RX36) on Wednesday evening, June 3rd, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, followed by removal to his residence in Ballylahan. The family home remains strictly private.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon, June 4th, at 1:00pm in St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Straide (F26 FP48), with burial proceeding afterward to Straide New Cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live online via the ChurchTV Straide link.
