Jennifer Hewson (née Ellis), of Drogheda, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2026, in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, Dublin Road, Drogheda.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Eric and her daughter Hazel, Jennifer was the beloved mother of Heather and Douglas, and the dear sister of Barbara and Carol. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her heartbroken family.

She is also deeply mourned by her cherished grandchildren Jana, Adam, Nicole, and Holly; her son-in-law Stefan; her daughter-in-law Sheila; as well as her nephews, nieces, extended family circle, neighbours, and many close friends.

Funeral Details:
A Funeral Service will take place on Sunday afternoon, June 21st, in St. Mary’s Church of Ireland, Julianstown at 2:00pm. Interment will take place afterward in the adjoining churchyard.

Family flowers only, please. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, if desired, to the Drogheda Hospice Homecare Foundation—an organization where Jennifer proudly gave many years of voluntary service.

Rose Ramsey (née Robinson)

Sutton Court, Seatown Place, Dundalk, Co. Louth
Rose Ramsey (née Robinson), of Sutton Court, Seatown Place, Dundalk, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully on June 17th, 2026, in the tender and devoted care of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of her family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Bobby, her daughter Karen (Desie Byrne), and her siblings Jimmy, Tony, Kevin, Nellie, Margaret, Kathleen, Angela, Maisie, and Lena, Rose was the cherished mother of Lesley (Brian McEneaney). She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her heartbroken family.

She is also deeply mourned by her grandchildren Sonya (Vytas), Emma (Tiarnan), Rachel (Ciaran), and Gerard; her adored great-grandchildren Caoilainn, Sophie, and Faolan; her sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, and many dear friends whose lives she enriched.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at McGeough’s Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, Dundalk (A91 XW66) on Thursday, June 18th, from 3:00pm until 7:00pm.

Removal will take place on Friday morning, June 19th, proceeding to The Presbyterian Church, Jocelyn Street (A91 T224), arriving for Funeral Service at 12:00noon. Burial will take place afterward in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. All enquiries to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers, McGeoughs Funerals.

The family home remains strictly private, please. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, if desired, to a charity of your choice. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the CCU and Stroke Unit at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, the Church Street Medical Centre, and Anne Smith and staff at Life Pharmacy for all their exceptional kindness and care.
