Dean Harrison Smashes Lap Record in Dominant Southern 100 Senior Victory
Dean Harrison continued his strong form at Billown on the Isle of Man this morning, taking control of the opening race from the start. Starting from pole position, the Honda Racing rider led all seven laps to finish 10.273 seconds ahead of runner-up Nathan Harrison.
Dunlop Retirement and Podium Battles
It was a frustrating morning for Northern Ireland’s Michael Dunlop, who retired from the race on his MD/Hawk Racing Honda. After starting from the front row, Dunlop dropped down the field following an overshoot at Ballakeighan and eventually withdrew on the third lap, seemingly due to brake issues.
Peter Hickman, on his Billown debut, secured an excellent third place on his 8TEN Racing BMW, finishing just one second behind Nathan Harrison.
While Dean Harrison enjoyed a comfortable lead, a competitive battle for fourth place unfolded behind him. Paul Jordan eventually came out on top, edging out Manx rider Joe Yeardsley to secure the position.
