The death has occurred of
Gerry Morgan
Drogheda, Co. Meath / Louth
Gerry Morgan, of Drogheda and formerly of The Forge, Man-O-War, Skerries, passed away peacefully on April 18th, 2026, aged 94 years, in the care of Moorehall Lodge, Balbriggan, surrounded by his devoted family.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret and his many siblings. Gerry will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, on Tuesday from 4pm to 7:30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30pm in St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Balbriggan, followed by burial in St. MacCullin’s Cemetery, Lusk.

Family flowers only; donations, if desired, to the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre.

Maureen Whelan (née McKey), of Willow Grove, Carrick Road, Dundalk, passed away peacefully in her 98th year on April 18th, 2026, at Silver Stream Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her husband Patrick, her parents Vincent and Margaret-Ellen, and her siblings Margaret, Gerard, Bryan, Vincent and Desmond. Maureen will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children Patricia, Laura, Pascal, Noelle, Adrienne and Damien, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her extended family and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be updated on Monday afternoon.

Dympna Gerrard (née Hand)
Drogheda, Co. Louth
Dympna Gerrard (née Hand), of Mary’s Street, Drogheda, passed away peacefully on April 18th, 2026, following a short illness, surrounded by her loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Beloved wife of Joe and loving mother to Michael and Nicola. Dympna will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her husband, children, daughter-in-law Colette, son-in-law Martin, her cherished grandchildren James, Lennon, Sadhbh and Jack, her siblings Frank and Bridie, and her extended family and friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, on Monday and Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, James Street, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.

The family requests consideration for residents when parking near the funeral home.
