Ann McCann, of Riverview, Mell, Drogheda, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, with her loving daughter by her side.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Paddy and her parents Paddy and Vera, Ann was the cherished mother of Jennifer. She will be very sadly missed and forever remembered by her heartbroken daughter.

She is also deeply mourned by her adored granddaughters Aoife and Emily; Jennifer’s partner Johny; her brothers Tony and PJ; her sister Mary; her sisters-in-law Maura, Daphne, and Aileen; her brother-in-law Austin; as well as her nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, and a wide circle of close friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda (A92 XN75) on Monday evening, June 15th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Those attending the funeral home are kindly asked to park with consideration for nearby residents.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon, June 16th, at 1:30pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Drogheda, which can be viewed live online via the parish webcam. Burial will take place afterward in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The family residence remains strictly private at all times, please.

Amy Thornton (née Connor), of Ard Rí, Beamore Road, Drogheda and formerly of Hardmans Gardens, passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Joe, her son Paddy, and her grandsons Joseph, Ian, and Eoin, Amy was the loving mam to Antoinette, Catherine, Margaret, Gerard, and Raymond. She will be very sadly missed and fondly remembered by her heartbroken family.

She is also deeply mourned by her son-in-law Brendan, her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, and many dear friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda (A92 XN75) on Monday evening, June 15th, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Those attending the funeral home are kindly asked to park with consideration for nearby residents.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, June 16th, at 11:00am in the Holy Family Church, Ballsgrove. A cremation service will take place afterward in Dardistown Crematorium.

Family flowers only, please. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, if desired, to a charity of your choice.

John Kenwright, of Ballymakellett, Ravensdale and formerly of Cluan Enda, Dundalk, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully at home, in the loving care of his family.

Predeceased by his parents Bill and Molly and his sister Maria (Farrell), John was the beloved husband of Briege and the loving father of John and Robert. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his heartbroken family.

He is also deeply mourned by his cherished grandson Ethan; his “Daddy John” grandchildren Amy, Ryan, and Scott; his brothers Damien, James, and Liam; his sister Briege; his daughter-in-law Sarah; Robert’s partner Sandra; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bernadette, Angela, and Noel; as well as his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and many close friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing in the Serenity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk (entrance on Castletown Road) on Saturday, June 13th, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, and continuing in the Eternity Room on Sunday, June 14th, from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.

Removal will take place on Monday afternoon, June 15th, proceeding to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1:30pm. A cremation committal service will follow afterward in the Garden Chapel of Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.

Bernadette Hoey, of Mullaharlin Park, Dundalk and formerly of Bogtown, Dromiskin, Co. Louth, passed away unexpectedly at her home.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Brigid (née McCartney), her brother Patrick, and her brother-in-law David Mackin, Bernadette will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her sorrowing brothers and sisters Thomas, Mary, Ann, Olive, Martin, Brigid, Aidan, Brendan, Dymphna, and David. She is deeply mourned by her heartbroken family.

She is also deeply missed by her brothers-in-law Seamus McArdle, Seán Murphy, and Mike Brannon; her sisters-in-law Siobhán (née Mulholland), Colette (née Clerkin), and Bernadette (née McShane); as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and many dear friends.
