Louth County Council has issued a water alert for residents in the Drummonds area of Ardee, advising that essential valve installation works may result in supply disruptions next week.

The works are part of ongoing infrastructure improvements managed by Uisce Éireann to ensure the long-term reliability of the local water network. Residents and businesses in Ardee and its surrounding environs should prepare for temporary outages or reduced pressure while the installation is carried out.

Restoration and Traffic Advice

Once the valve installation is completed at 4:00 PM, Uisce Éireann advises that it may take approximately 3 to 4 hours for the water supply to fully return to all affected properties.

In addition to supply issues, localized traffic disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the works. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys through the affected areas during the scheduled work window.
