The death has occurred of
Olive Brady (née Tiernan)
Drogheda, Co. Louth
Olive Brady (née Tiernan), of Oldbridge, Drogheda, passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2026, in the care of Moorehall Lodge, Ardee, aged 87 years.

Predeceased by her husband Breen and sister Marietta. Olive is dearly missed by her children Brian, Damian, Paul, and Olivia, her grandchildren, great-granddaughter Éala, brothers Jim and John, sisters Kathleen and Rita, and her many friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, on Monday from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church, Mell, followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The family requests consideration for residents when parking near the funeral home.

Una Dunne (née Quinn)
Tenure, Co. Louth
Una Dunne (née Quinn), of Tower View, Tenure, passed away peacefully on April 16th, 2026, surrounded by her family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Tony and Cora, and several family members. Una is survived by her heartbroken husband Joey, children Belinda, David, Barry and Daniel, her ten cherished grandchildren, and her many siblings, relatives and friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at her home in Tenure on Saturday and Sunday from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon in the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Tenure, followed by burial in Dromin Cemetery.

House private on Monday morning, please.

Patrick (Paddy) Ferry
Drogheda / Donegal
Patrick (Paddy) Ferry, of Sienna, Drogheda and formerly of Rathmullan, Co. Donegal, passed away peacefully in his 92nd year on April 16th, 2026, after a long illness.

Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Pat). Predeceased by his brother Charlie. Paddy is deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, cousins, goddaughter Grace, brother-in-law Ben, and his extended family.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at the home of Mary McDonnell (Oulster Lane) on Friday from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Saturday at 1:30pm to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for Funeral Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in Newtown Cross Lawn Cemetery.

Jackie Lawlor, of Riverwell Close, Dundalk and formerly of London, passed away tragically on April 15th, 2026, following a road accident.

Predeceased by her father James and nephew Bailey. Jackie is forever loved and missed by her partner Ollie Hughes, son Dean, mother Bridie, her siblings Jason, Shane, Jodie, Nicola, and Chantel, and her extended family and many friends.

Rev. Fr. Jim O’Connell SM
Dundalk / Dublin / Peru
Rev. Fr. Jim O’Connell, of the Marist Community, Dundalk, and formerly of Dublin and Peru, passed away peacefully on April 16th, 2026, at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.

Predeceased by his parents Charlie and Nora. Fr. Jim will be deeply missed by his brother John, sister-in-law Nuala, his nieces, nephews, extended family, Marist Confreres, and his many friends and parishioners in Dundalk and Dublin.

Funeral Details:
Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Dundalk, on Friday evening arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10am, followed by interment at Balgriffin Cemetery, Dublin.

Anthony McCourt
Ardee, Co. Louth
Anthony McCourt, of Ballybailie, Ardee, passed away peacefully at his home in his 64th year, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Teresa and John and his niece Ursula. Anthony is survived by his children Christopher, Kelly, Conor and Michaela, their mother Philomena, and his partner Alice. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Alisha, Ben, Kaitlyn, Aryah and George, his brother Raymond, sister Margaret, and his extended family and friends.

Funeral Details:
House private please. Family flowers only; donations, if desired, to Ardee Hospice Homecare.
