Joe Dunne, of West Terrace, Parnell Park, Dundalk, passed away peacefully in his 96th year on May 18th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at Louth County Hospital.
Predeceased by his wife Noleen (née Murphy), parents Joseph and Lizzie, brothers Francis and Patrick, and sisters Maura and Rose. Joe will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sons Paul and Noel, daughters-in-law Rose and Barbara, his seven cherished grandchildren, and five adored great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Tom, sister Liz Goulding, extended family, neighbours, and friends.
Funeral Details:
Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, on Wednesday from 3pm until 8pm. Removal on Thursday afternoon from his home at 12:45pm, driving to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for Funeral Mass at 1pm, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Mary Grimes (née Flanagan), of Skibblemore, Dunleer, passed away peacefully in her 88th year, while under the wonderful care of the staff in St. Cecilia’s at St. Oliver Plunkett Community Unit, Dundalk.
The beloved wife of the late Barney and mother of the late Briege, Mary will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children Anne, Damien, Bernadette, Vera, Fergus, Sheila, Robert, and Mary Catherine. She is also survived by her sons-in-law Paul, Owen, Chris, Kenneth, and Brian, daughters-in-law Jennifer, Dolores, and Rosey, her brothers Joe, Tony, Oliver, and Tom, her 16 cherished grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and an extended circle of in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings John, Michael, Peter, Cecelia, and Margaret.

Teresa Lynch (née Kerley), of Milestone, Kilsaran, passed away peacefully on May 17th, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was under the tender and devoted care of the staff at St. Peter’s Nursing Home, Castlebellingham, at the time of her passing.
The beloved wife of the late Jack and mother of the late Peter, Teresa will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her heartbroken daughter Olive and her cherished grandson JJ. She is also survived by her son-in-law Cyril Corrigan, her extended family, neighbours, and many friends. She was predeceased by her siblings Brendan, Chris, and Marie.

Joe Meagher, of Five Oaks, Drogheda and formerly of Castleiney, Templemore, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 16th, 2026.
Predeceased by his parents Phil and Joan, Joe was the beloved husband of Gina and a deeply loved father to Sineád, Niamh, and Aoife. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife, daughters, Sineád’s partner Cormac, his brothers Stephen and Tim, his mother-in-law Rose, and his sisters-in-law Janice and Hilda. He is also mourned by his extended family, neighbors, many friends, and former colleagues at Louth County Council.

The beloved husband and best friend of Mary (née Toal), Eugene was predeceased by his parents Tom and Pauline, and his brother Shane. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife, his children Eugene, Sabrina, and Dermot, his cherished grandchildren Finn, Ruarc, Dearbhla, Orlaith, and Rowan, his daughters-in-law Sarah and Justine, and son-in-law Frank McArdle. He is also survived by his brothers Ambrose, Raymond, Aidan, and Paul, his sisters Fidelma, Deirdre, and Colette, and a wide circle of extended family, neighbours, and friends.
