Drogheda, Co. Louth
Gerard (Gerry) Byrne, of Bredin Street, Drogheda and formerly of The Fire Station, Scarlet Street, passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
Predeceased by his parents John and May and his brother Brendan (Bruno), Gerry will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his brothers Sean and Jim, his sister Marie, sisters-in-law Bridgie, Bernie, and Pauline, his nephew Michael, his extended family, and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral Details:
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed live via the parish webcam.
Those attending the funeral home are kindly requested to show consideration for local residents when parking.

Patsy Kirwan (née Cluskey)
Drogheda, Co. Louth
Patsy Kirwan (née Cluskey), of St. Finian’s Park and formerly of Park View, Drogheda, passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2026, aged 78. She was under the loving care of the staff at St. Peter’s Nursing Home, Castlebellingham, surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.
Predeceased by his husband Eamonn, Patsy was the beloved mother of Mark, Andrew, Karen, and Gillian. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her sons, daughters, daughters-in-law Thérése and Nga, son-in-law Paul, Gillian’s partner Micky, her cherished grandchildren Conor, Amy, Josh, Aisling, Shauna, Aoife, Eoin, Erin, and Ciára, and her great-grandchildren Nova and Padraig. She is also survived by her brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

James (Jim) Maguire, of Cherrybrook, Drogheda and formerly of Beabeg, Co. Meath, passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Geraldine, as well as his brothers and sisters, Jim was a loving father to Sandra, John, Stephen, and Fiona. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his daughters, sons, sons-in-law Peter and Anthony, daughters-in-law Caroline and Julie, his cherished grandchildren Jessica (and her partner Shane), Dayna, Christian, Aiesha, Sophia, Jamie, and Mya, his sister Betty, extended family, neighbours, and many friends.
