The Carnival Returns: A Week of Fun and Magic by the Sea
K Allen & Sons Funfairs are making their way back to **Blackrock** from August 9th to 16th, continuing a tradition of local family entertainment that has been going strong for 22 years. It’s the kind of week that feels like a cornerstone of summer, and this year’s schedule is busier than ever.
What’s on the Schedule?
The fair will feature all the classic thrills—the Miami ride, the giant ship, and plenty of rides for the little ones—alongside those irresistible fairground snacks like candyfloss and popcorn. Beyond the rides, they’ve put together a full week of free entertainment to keep everyone smiling.
Weekly Highlights
- Free Entertainment: Look forward to daily outdoor movies and live music on the main stage.
- August 11th: Cut Price Night.
- August 12th: Fancy Dress Competition with prizes for the best costumes.
- August 13th: A dedicated sensory event.
- August 14th: Taylor Swift Tribute Show.
- August 15th: The grand finale fireworks display at 10:00 PM.
It’s also heartening to see that the team is using the opportunity to support the wider community. Profits from the High Striker game will be donated to Save Our Homeless Dundalk and Pieta House, so your fun has a really positive ripple effect.
