Bernadette Azzie (née Cole)
Robinstown, Co. Meath / Ardee, Co. Louth
Bernadette Anne Azzie (née Cole), of Robinstown, Navan and formerly of Ardee, passed away peacefully at home in her 93rd year on May 19th, 2026, following a very brave struggle with declining health.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Maurice, her son Brendan, her parents Bernard and Anne, and her brother Patrick. Bernadette will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children Kevin, Maurice, David, Bernadette, and Christopher, and her cherished grandchildren Devin, Justine, and Darryl. She is also survived by her sisters Eilis, Sr. Fionnuala, and Mary, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Heffernans Funeral Home, High Street, Trim, on Thursday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11am in the Church of the Assumption, Robinstown, followed by burial in Kilbroney Cemetery, Rostrevor, Co. Down (arriving at approximately 1:45pm).

Mary Joyce (née Traynor)
Dundalk, Co. Louth / Dunleer, Co. Louth
Mary Joyce (née Traynor), of “Glenview Lodge”, Castletown Road, and formerly of Aisling Park, Dundalk and Dromin, Dunleer, passed away peacefully in the dedicated care of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

The beloved wife of the late Martin and mother of the late Buzz and Alan, Mary will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her heartbroken children Christy, Luxey, Nora, Mary, Paddy, Geraldine, Joe, Paul, Anthony, and Darren, and her nephew Christy Bird. She is also deeply mourned by her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her 41 cherished grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and friends. She was predeceased by her grandchildren PJ and Marissa.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at her home, “Glenview Lodge”, Castletown Road, from 2pm on Thursday, May 21st. Removal on Saturday morning, May 23rd, proceeding on foot via Marian Park and Aisling Park to the Church of the Holy Redeemer, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed live via the church link online.

Clare McDermott
Ardee, Co. Louth / Quin, Co. Clare
Clare McDermott, of Castleguard Manor, Ardee and formerly of Quin, Co. Clare, passed away unexpectedly at University Hospital Cork on May 19th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her mother Clare, she will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her children Jade, Clare, and Ciro, her dad John and his partner Caroline, her sister Louise, her nephew Jack, and a wide circle of extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Funeral Details:
Reposing at Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Ennis, on Sunday, May 24th, from 5:30pm until 7pm. Arriving at Saint Mary’s Church, Quin, on Monday, May 25th, for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by a cremation service at Shannon Crematorium at 1pm. The Mass can be viewed live via the parish webcam.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Clare Crusaders Children’s Clinic.
